What is your wildly unrealistic goal?

If you were following along on Instagram, you know that last weekend I attended the Superwoman Summit. I had a number of takeaways, but one message in particular kept standing out for me.
GO DO THE THING!!!
What comes up as “the thing” for you?
I fully admit that the first time I heard it my mind went blank. I’ve been doing all the things my heart desires. It’s been fun. Real fun! And I’ve created some amazing experiences and changes in my life as a result. I also realized that with how quickly I’m manifesting my dreams, this was a perfect reminder that it’s time to slow down and dream bigger.
One speaker in particular really got my imagination going with his question.
What is your wildly unrealistic goal?
WILDLY unrealistic?!
That sounds fun! Challenge accepted!!
[Stare at ceiling... hand to chin… thinker pose…]
This was turning out to be harder than I thought!
As I’m sure you know, I’m a believer that anything is possible. The idea of creating a goal that was "wildly unrealistic" felt like a slightly impossible mission. But I understood the concept. Dream bigger than you’ve ever dreamed before.
What I eventually landed on was to live and work remotely for a year. It was kind of surprising to me that I was drawn to this idea. Yet, I knew it came from the same place as my long-standing desire to host a retreat.
The little voice that planted the retreat seed made itself known over 10 years ago. When I first heard it, I was baffled. I was working as an auditor at the time. What qualified me to lead a retreat and who in the world would want to join me? Yet here I am. Over 10 years later. And my retreat center is reserved for later this year!!! I’m so excited I can hardly contain myself! (side note – mark your calendars for 12/14-16. This retreat is going to be amazing! Details coming very, very soon.)
Back to my remote year vision. You’re probably thinking that is a totally achievable goal for me and you're right! That is the reality for many wildly unrealistic goals. The speaker even confirmed it. The only reason they seem so unachievable is because they often require significant changes to our current reality (and change is scary!).
The things that make my dream wildly unrealistic are my partner’s office job and Max (our fur baby). However, I know that both of those things could be easily remedied while still getting to enjoy traveling with both of my loves.
Another thing I realized is that like my retreat goal, I can plant this seed and know that when the time is right it will be easy. (thank you universe!) I am sharing this idea with you today because I’d like you to imagine your own wildly unrealistic goal.
What is the thing that would be totally awesome for you? Don’t overthink it. The bigger and scarier the better. Ask the question and see what comes up.
What we are doing today is planting an amazing, inspirational seed. A seed that will grow at just the right time. No need to rush it. Just plant the seed and occasionally check in to see if it needs water. Trust me. It will grow.
